Model Polaroids

If you are a freelance model looking to get an agent or book jobs, it is important that you start first and foremost with taking polaroids.  Many agencies will ask for only these particular photos when considering a new model to represent.
General Guidelines:
  • These photos should literally be snapshot quality.  No need for a fancy digital SLR camera or to pay a photographer.  They should be natural and captivating photos.
  • The photos should include a headshot, full body shot and 3/4 shot (profile and facing front).
  • All natural!  No makeup, jewelry or fancy styling needed.
  • Play with your poses.  Remember, you are trying to tell the agent that you are a professional, can book high-paying jobs, and are gorgeous all in one, natural polaroid.
  • Men, try taking shot with both your shirt on and off.
  • Women, your hair should be worn as it is on a day-to-day basis.  Try some photos with your hair both pulled back, and down.
  • Wear something that shows off your body.  Skinny jeans, spaghetti strap tops, bikinis, shorts, heels or flats, solid colors, and tanks are all good wardrobe choices.
